Dr. Khalifah teaches Arabic Composition at Al-Quds Bard Honors College and several courses at Al-Quds Bard Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program such as Identity, Culture, and the Classroom, Teaching as a Reflective Practice in Science. Dr. Khalifah’s research interests include cultural studies and its relationship to international trends in education. He is particularly interested in philosophies of education and social sciences, epistemology, culture theories, science and technology, educational development, cross-cultural educational management and leadership.

The purpose of this lecture is to introduce the concepts of culture and representation. It aims to explore the relationship between culture and representation by discussing how culture constructs shared meanings, i.e. how culture constructs patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting through using language and visual images.
